Terms of Service
Last updated — August 2026
These terms describe how GLOU works with clients. They apply alongside any written agreement or offer confirmed for a specific project.
1. Who provides the service
Services are provided by Gerda Eglāja under the name GLOU.
2. Scope of work
The scope of each project is agreed in writing before work begins: what is created, what is delivered and what is not included. Work outside the agreed scope is treated as a separate request and quoted separately.
3. Estimates and final pricing
The estimator on this website gives an indicative range only. It is not an offer and not a fixed quotation.
The final price is confirmed in writing after the scope is clear, and it applies to that scope.
4. Approval and revisions
Work is presented in stages for approval. The number of revision rounds included is agreed per project; further rounds are possible and billed additionally.
5. Payment
Payment terms, instalments and invoicing schedule are agreed per project and stated in the offer.
6. Client responsibilities
The client provides content, brand materials, access and feedback within a reasonable time, and confirms they have the right to use any material they supply.
7. Intellectual property
On full payment, the client receives the rights to the delivered result as agreed in writing. GLOU retains the right to show the work as a portfolio piece unless otherwise agreed.
Underlying tools, frameworks and reusable components remain with their respective owners and licensors.
8. Third-party services
Projects may rely on third-party services such as hosting, domains, fonts, email delivery or AI providers. Their own terms, availability and fees apply, and those fees are the client's responsibility unless agreed otherwise.
9. Delays
Timelines assume timely feedback and materials from the client. If those are delayed, the delivery date moves accordingly.
10. Cancellation
Either side may end a project in writing. Work completed up to that point is invoiced, and any prepayment is settled against it.
11. Limitation of liability
GLOU is liable only for direct damage caused by its own work, up to the amount paid for the project concerned. GLOU is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for failures of third-party services. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Project completion
A project is complete when the agreed deliverables are handed over and approved, or when they are used in production. Ongoing support or maintenance is a separate arrangement.
13. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of Latvia.
